REPUBLIC OF MOZAMBIQUE - LEGAL REGIME OF COMPETITION

It was approved by the Law number 10/2013, April 11, the legal regime of competition of the Republic of Mozambique.

The competition law now approved regulates the economic activity of the companies and the commercial relationship established between them through (i) the prohibition of anti-competitive practices (namely, horizontal agreements, vertical agreements and abuse of dominant position), (ii) subject to previous authorization the concentrations of companies and (iii) sets forth penalties in the event of non-compliance with the provisions of the law.

The Law enters into force on July 10, 2013.
