The Law nº 33/VIII/2013, of July 16, approve the legal framework of the use of electronic means on judicial procedures in Cape Verde.

The Law also approves the legal framework of audio and audiovisual record of oral statements and the judicial legality of the records and evidences.  

The new framework is applicable to civil, criminal, labour, administrative, juvenile and family proceedings and to the proceedings of small claims court or the execution of sentences and security measures. The enforcement of the Law in the tax courts, the military court and the constitutional court is subject to the necessary adjustments.
