In December 2014 entered into force the new special procedure for the registry of vehicles acquired through a verbal contract of purchase and sale.

The special procedure aim to deal with the consequences associated with non-regularization of property registration, such as the imposition of fines and car taxation to the seller.

Note that the previous regime only allowed the change of ownership of the vehicle based on the unique model application signed by the buyer and the seller.

The seller could now apply for registration on the basis of documents that indicate the actual purchase and sale of the vehicle after 60 days for registry the transfer of ownership.
