CAPE VERDE - INVESTMENT LAW

On September 25, 2013 entered into force the new Investment Code of Cape Verde, now called "Cape Verde Investment Law".

Note that the Investment Code of Cape Verde was approved in 2012 by Law 13/VIII/2012, and applies to all investments in the territory of Cape Verde and abroad from Cape Verde, made by nationals or foreign investors.

The amendments now approved to Law 13/VIII/2012 results from the need to reduce bureaucracy and dematerialize the investment process. The registration of foreign investment in Cape Verde Bank is now made electronically on the day following the issuance of the Certificate of Registration by Cape Verde Investment.
